At a recent settlement meeting before trial, a client of Moloney & Company who sustained neck and lower back injuries in a road traffic accident in 2007 recovered an award of €50,000 general damages. The Plaintiff who was in her mid twenties was a front seat passenger in a vehicle which was rear ended. The Plaintiff subsequently developed significant neck and lower back problems which required for her to attend for physiotherapy and chiropractic treatment. The Plaintiff subsequently instructed Moloney & Company Solicitors who lodged an application with the Injuries Board who awarded the Plaintiff €20,000. The Plaintiff rejected the award on the advices of Moloney & Company and proceedings were lodged in the High Court. The Plaintiff was represented by senior and junior Counsel and Liam Moloney, Solicitor. After negotiations a settlement of €50,000 was received for the Plaintiff.
