The lack of statutory regulation in the past of injectable cosmetic treatments like botox in Ireland has been criticised.
However in a new development the Irish Medicines Boards has now been made responsible for the regulation and enforcement of cosmetics legislation.
Liam Moloney, Personal Injuries Solicitor, Naas said today, “More and more people are being harmed by cosmetic treatments and the announcement that the IMB will now be the competent authority for regulating the Industry is to be welcomed.”
