A roller blind with a scallop edge boarder which poses a risk of strangulation has been withdrawn from sale. The blinds which are 100% polyester fabric with a metal top tube and are available in cream, natural and white colours are dangerous to children because the length of the chord is too long and can form a loop in which a child could become entangled. The product also does not bear adequate warnings. The blinds which were manufactured in China, are operated by a beaded chain chord and have a side winder mechanism with a safety device to keep the chain taught. The brand is Home Innovations. The product has been withdrawn by the importer because it does not comply with the relevant European standards EN13120.
