Marks and Spencers have announced a product recall following reports of illness in the United Kingdom associated with their Mussels and as a precaution while further investigations are taking place. They are removing from sale the following Own Brand Products:
● Mussels in Garlic
● Mussels in White Wine
● Mussels and Clams
Consumers have been advised not to eat these products if they have purchased them. Any Customers in possession of these products can return them to their nearest store where a full refund will be given.
Speaking about the latest food product recall Liam Moloney, Solicitor said today “ any consumer who has purchased any of these products and has not consumed them should immediately return them to Marks and Spencers and get a full refund. Consumers who may have already consumed any of the products and who are currently feeling unwell should immediately seek medical advice.
Under the Law of Product Liability in Ireland any consumer adversely affected by this recall should immediately also seek legal advice as they may be entitled to receive compensation for their illness”.
