The food Safety of Ireland has announced a recall of a batch of Iceland frozen lamb mince due to the presence of salmonella. The producer, Iceland Foods Ltd. has recalled the product. No other products are known to be effected by this recall. Iceland Foods Ltd. has issued in-store notices requesting customers who have bought the product to return it to an Iceland store.
Speaking today about the latest food contamination problem, Liam Moloney Product Liability Solicitor in Naas said, “anyone who has consumed frozen lamb mince and has had an adverse reaction should immediately attend with their General Practitioner for treatment. Consumers who have suffered illness as a result of consuming this food would also be entitled to compensation under the law of product liability”.
