Reckitt Benckiser (UK) Ltd has received further reports of rogue blister strips in cartons in 2 additional batches of Nurofen Plus tablets. One of the new batches contains Seroquel XL 50 mg tablets and one contains the Pfizer product Neurontin 100mg capsules.
Seroquel XL 50mg is an anti psychotic drug. Nurofen Plus tablets are a pharmacy only product. Only three defective packs have been found in pharmacies. Seroquel are prescription only. The medication is used to treat several illnesses such as schizophrenia, mania and bi-polar depression.
Benckiser is now recalling all remaining unexpired stock of Nurofen Plus tablets in any pack as a precautionary measure.
