Moloney Solicitors in Naas who are acting on behalf of affected prison officers who have contracted latent tuberculosis (TB) are recommending that prison officers’ families should be tested for latent TB.
Tuberculosis is an airborne infectious disease that spreads through close and prolonged contact. A number of prison officers in Cloverhill Prison have tested positive for both TB and latent TB. Moloney Solicitors have received medical advice that prison officers’ families should immediately be tested for tuberculosis. A number of prison officers who have tested positive for latent TB came in contact with a number of prisoners in Cloverhill Prison who were infected with TB.
