An 11 year old school boy has secured a settlement of €10,000 for injuries sustained by him in a school yard accident. Moloney & Company Solicitors represented the young boy in the case. He sustained facial injuries when he ran into another boy when he was playing a game in the school yard. The other boy was wearing a watch that caused lacerations to his face. A claim in negligence was brought against the school authorities for failing to adequately supervise the school yard at the time of the accident. The case was settled without an admission of liability on the part of the defendants and the High Court approved the settlement.
